I switched to O2 broadband a couple of months ago. The experience was great - easy to order, cheap (7.50 pcm for unlimited up to 8000/1300), excellent communication (ie SMS notification of delivery dates).
The service itself has worked fine, the modem (780WL) is brilliant (built in VoIP) ... but yesterday I arrived home from a business trip to find the family complaining about lack of internet.
Unfortunately the modem couldn't get a DHCP address. So I phoned up a freefone customer service number which was answered in ~30s, where I spoke to a single person who took basic info, got me to reset the modem (I suspect unnecessary, but fair enough), then reset the dslam port.
Back up and running in < 10 minutes.
O2 really are a *very good* broadband provider at this point in time.
